There’s been a minor catastrophe at Sparrow Chat recently. All the posts from October 5th disappeared from the database following a problem with the newly upgraded WordPress 2.3.

Thankfully, they have now been retrieved and measures are being taken to ensure it cannot happen again. Unfortunately, while the posts were saved, all comments on the relevant posts have been obliterated. Apologies to those who have left comments in the last ten days.

Hopefully, normal service can now be resumed.

  1. RJ, I know just how frustated you must feel. Blogger is almost as bad. It’s supposed ‘auto-save’ stinks. It is completely unreliable.

The hours I’ve wasted on so many occaisions – argh! You would not believe the number of times I’ve almost hurled my PC out of the window – whether open or closed.

  2. You don’t want to hear this, i know…
but at the top of your screen, there appears the message:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/capelyddol/ on line 646

… or maybe it’s just me?

  3. I think things have settled down now 🙂
    Which is a good thing – I couldn’t even leave a comment to tell you that I couldn’t leave a comment 😉

  4. Jo – sorry about all the problems. Hopefully they are resolved now, though some fine tuning may be necessary as WordPress and K2 get their act together and iron out the bugs that appear to be multiplying daily in their supposedly ‘stable’ upgrades.

  5. Hopefully everything works now. Last time when I was trying to post It was giving warning. It seems wordpress not bad, but it needs some works!
