WWW - on the subject of Obama, I believe he is not allowed to be 'the leader we thought he was'. With two small children, I'm sure it's been made clear to him what might happen to them if he doesn't moderate his demands. Corporate America is cold-blooded and ruthless.

Twilight - sinister, indeed. Thanks for the tip-off about Olbermann. His speech echoed what I've been saying for years about the corporates. I was part-way through writing on the Supreme Court decision when your comment came in, so I've incorporated the video of Olbermann's remarks into the blog post.

It's so very dis-spiriting, RJ. I've lost my will to be positive this week. Not only because of the Brown win in MA, which was bad enough - but yesterday's Supreme Court ruling removing limits on campaign spending by corporations, unions and other bodies.

There's a sinister feel about all of this.

I relented my ban on watching political comment on TV last night and saw the end of Keith Olbermann's show - he did one of his Special comments about the Supreme Court ruling - it was chilling! If you missed it, look out for a video - it'll be around the net somewhere. :-(

I'm with you on this, RJA, though I did expect the result in Mass. There's a huge and crushing turn of the tide situation happening with regard to Mr. Hopey Changey. He is unfortunately not the leader people had thought he was.

Haiti is only confirming it.

And what truly sickens me in all of it are those cruise ships allowed to berth within a few hundred feet of the devastation. Could those berths not be commandeered for the help and supplies so desperately needed?
Oh I forgot. No leadership.
