Winter – On The Nose!

by R J Adams     February 1, 2008 at 12:41pm

Winter came with a vengeance to central Illinois last night. Eight or ten inches of snow played havoc with transport services, closed schools, and kept most folks in their homes today.

Thankfully, the forecast is for a rapid thaw, beginning tomorrow.

For this little chap -

– it can’t come soon enough.

OOOOh – glad we missed that little lot. We saw a few flakes of snow yesterday, that’s all.

It has been very much colder for a lot longer than normal here this winter though. We noticed the migrating birds left us earlier than usual last year, they must have known!

Twilight – in Britain the daffs are already in bloom, at least a month early!

WWW – wise words, oh WiseWebWoman.
