Hardly a night goes by they’re not pushing some major ‘new’ report designed to stun us all into buying more tranquilizers. America’s fixation with youth and appearance is where it finds its markets. They always are reporting on some study that is as obvious as gravity. No wonder the real problems go unsolved if they spend time and money on crap. The FDA is in essence privatized to the drug companies. The employees nearly all use their jobs as stepping stones to a career with the pharmaceuticals and the drug companies get to review their own products. Ah, the free market. How about this for a study: How does a society's fixation on youth and appearance squander common sense? Since I get mail from Yahoo, I see their home page everyday.
